Hinge Shimming Alignment, Striker Pin Adjustment, & Latch Lubrication Guidelines

When installing an aftermarket door kit, always keep the main mounting hinges loose until the latch pin is aligned with the striker receiver to prevent latch binding. Use precision alignment shims if needed to make sure the door frame gap is even around the side of the plastics, then tighten the roll cage mounting brackets to factory specifications. Check that the door opens and closes without requiring excessive slamming force; if it binds, loosen the striker bolt and adjust its position out slightly until the rotor clicks cleanly.
