A properly engineered ATV and UTV intake snorkel system does much more than simply raise the height of your primary engine intake runner. True off-road waterproof configurations operate on a dual-zone system that matches engine intake displacement while simultaneously accommodating the high-volume cooling demands of your CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) clutch case. Without high-rise clutch inlet and outlet ducts, water rushing into the belt housing will cause instant belt slippage, destroying your drive belt and leaving you stranded in the middle of a river or mud hole.

Riser Alignment, Marine Sealing, & Vent Line Routing Rules

When installing an intake snorkel riser system, take your time to ensure every joint is perfectly watertight. Apply a liberal, continuous bead of high-grade marine-grade silicone sealant across all slip joints, rubber couplings, and inside the airbox base before tightening down your heavy-duty T-bolt clamps. Never forget to extend your small differential, gas tank, and master cylinder vent lines; these tiny lines must be routed up along the main snorkel risers to prevent water from contaminating your gear oils or braking fluids. After finishing the installation, perform an airtightness test by safely blocking the top of the snorkel stacks with a flat rubber block while idling—if the engine doesn't choke out and stall immediately, you have a hidden air leak that needs to be sealed.
