Installation Protocols, Camber Adjustment, & Torque Specs

When installing a suspension lift kit, always secure your vehicle safely on heavy-duty jack stands and completely relieve spring tension before removing any factory shock bolts. Always apply a medium-strength blue thread-locking compound to all newly supplied suspension brackets and hardware. Torque every chassis bolt down strictly to manufacturer specifications—typically between 45 to 65 foot-pounds for main control arm mounts. After installation is complete, roll the vehicle back and forth to settle the suspension, then perform a manual front-end alignment. Adjust the tie rods to restore factory toe-in specifications (typically 1/16 to 1/8 inch toe-in) to prevent severe tire wear and high-speed steering wander.
